The Interministerial decree of February 23, 2022, established the National Fund for Energy Management and Renewable Energies and Cogeneration (FNMEERC) to finance initiatives promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy development, as part of Algeria’s National Energy Transition Program 2020. This program, a key element of the government’s economic renewal plan, emphasizes energy transition alongside food security and the digital economy. However, the FNMEERC was officially closed on December 31, 2022, by the 2022 Finance Law and replaced by the Program Budget. Since 2023, funding for the National Energy Management and Renewable Energy Program is provided through this new budget, managed by the Ministry of Energy and Mines. Applicants can now register for financial aid via APRUE’s digital platform “PDIP,” accessible from September 22, 2024, ensuring efficient access to support based on specific project eligibility.
